Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This English version is provided for information. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
This policy explains what personal data APPARTE collects on apparte.fr, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with and how to exercise your rights. It applies to the website and to the exchanges that follow an appointment request.
1. Data controller
ZOE AND CO, SAS with a share capital of €100, trading as APPARTE, 58 rue de Monceau, CS 48756, 75380 Paris Cedex 08, France, RCS Paris 927 517 722. Contact for any question about your data: contact@apparte.fr.
2. Data we collect
When you request an appointment
- Identity and contact details: name, email address, telephone number.
- Your project: situation, budget, target areas, plan considered, free-text message.
- Origin of the request: form page, the site you came from (search engine, social network, AI assistant…), campaign parameters (UTM) and any ad click identifier (Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads), date of your first visit.
- Your cookie choice at the time of the request.
Name, email and telephone are required: without them we cannot get back to you.
During our engagement
If you become a client, we process the information needed for the assignment: search criteria, properties proposed and visited, visit reports, correspondence and, for rental searches, the documents of your rental application (identity, proof of income and address, guarantor) that you choose to send us. We never request documents that French rules on rental applications prohibit.
When you browse
Only with your consent: audience measurement and advertising tracking (see “Cookies”). Without your consent, no measurement or advertising cookies are set.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your request and offering our services: pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
- Performing the assignment (search, viewings, application, negotiation, follow-up): performance of the contract.
- Invoicing and accounting: legal obligation.
- Commercial follow-up (following up an unanswered request, asking for a review after an assignment): APPARTE's legitimate interest. You may object at any time.
- Audience measurement and advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads), including sending Google encrypted information to measure the effectiveness of our ads: your consent.
- Website security (preventing abuse and automated submissions): legitimate interest.
4. Recipients
Your data is processed by the APPARTE team (founder and property hunters) and by our technical service providers, solely for the purposes described above:
- Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting.
- Neon Inc.: website database, hosted in Frankfurt (Germany).
- Base44: the customer relationship management software in which your request is recorded and followed up.
- Resend (United States): technical alert emails sent to the team.
- Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC: Google Analytics and Google Ads, if you have accepted cookies.
- OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom): base maps shown on area pages, which receives your IP address when the map loads.
With your agreement, and solely for your search, your rental application documents are presented to the landlords or agencies of the properties you apply for. We never sell or rent your data.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers are based outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider participates in it, or by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. The United Kingdom benefits from an adequacy decision.
6. Retention periods
- Appointment request with no follow-up: 3 years from our last exchange.
- Client data: for the duration of the assignment, then 5 years after it ends (limitation period).
- Rental application documents: for the duration of the assignment, then deleted no later than 3 months after the lease is signed or the assignment ends.
- Invoices and accounting records: 10 years (legal obligation).
- Cookie choice: 6 months, after which we ask again.
- Origin of your visit (with your consent): 90 days in your browser.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies: 13 months maximum.
7. Cookies and trackers
When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept or decline, just as easily, audience measurement and advertising cookies. Until you accept, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads are not loaded.
| Tracker | Purpose | Duration | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|
| apparte_consentement (local storage) | Remember your choice | 6 months | No |
| apparte_origine (local storage) | Know which channel brought you to us | 90 days | Yes |
| Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Audience measurement | 13 months maximum | Yes |
| Google Ads (_gcl_au and related) | Measuring the effectiveness of our ads | 90 days | Yes |
If you have accepted cookies and send a request, your email address and telephone number may be sent to Google in an encrypted, irreversible form (SHA-256 hashing), to link the request, and then the start of an assignment, to an ad. Without your consent, none of this information is sent.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of each page.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and the right to give instructions on what happens to your data after your death. To exercise them, write to contact@apparte.fr. We reply within one month. We may ask for proof of identity if there is reasonable doubt about who you are.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France (cnil.fr).
9. Security
The website is only accessible over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to internal tools is protected and restricted to the team. Exchanges between the website and our customer management software are authenticated and signed.
10. Changes
This policy may change, in particular when we add a service or change provider. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
